VAT FlapVAT Large Transfer Valve Increases Flexibility in Equipment Design

Intensivists should be aware that intensive care unit (ICU) management may greatly affect the ability to close the abdomen early, and they should continue to use an integrated approach to intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH) even after abdominal decompression. Surgeons should realize that early closure is feasible and that TAC techniques exist that expedite early abdominal closure.
